Hi all:
Completely new to this (downloaded yesterday at betanews) there are some features that I still dont understand.
I know this is a nice print screen tool, it can save the shoots on a folder, shoots can de edited etc... etc...
The part I dont understand is that of uploading those screenshoots to a server !!!
Anytime I make a screenshoot that screen is uploaded to a website ?? I see that it generates a number and a web link , coorect ??
Please give me more details about that.
Where are they stored , how do I find them later, etc... etc..
Tks for yr patience.
hilfer.

By default they're stored on stashbox (www.stashbox.org), you can find the uploaded files and screenshots in the history list (double click on the shup icon in your system try to open it). If you want to upload them to a different host, you can do so by going into the preferences (right click icon in systray, choose preferences or ctrl+P if you have the shup window open). It should look like this:
http://shup.com/shup/12887/11272007-Shup-Preferences.png
After that it should be fairly self-explanatory. But if you still have questions, post here and someone will help. :)

So if I understood it right every shot I make is uploaded to stashbox ??? and if so can it be disabled ??
Just by curiosity, what's the use of storing them there ??How long are they stored ??
tks.hilfer.
just dont hit upload when you're inside the image editor. if you dont, the file wont be uploaded.

Ok Dan, but whenever I make a shot I see this:
107.....-my-desktop.jpg
and some seconds later
http://shup.com/129.....
Doesn't that means it was already uploaded to that link ??
hilfer.
you need to go into the settings and enable the preview window for desktop capture. it will then open up in the image editor, where you'll have the option of uploading or not.
if you hit capture without the preview, it captures and uploads.

Great.
Only one more question.
When I clear a file from History, that means the file will no longer be stored in stashbox.Right ??

Nope, right now the only way to delete a file from stashbox uploaded using shup is by PMing Dan with the url.
As of v0.20, you can only delete the local archived copy and get rid of the listing in history. But once support is added for stashbox user accounts, you'll be able to login to your account and manage the files you've uploaded.
