When I click on File and hover over Upload File, it isn't clickable. Then I look in the bottom status bar and it says "Upload Status: Idle...".
Some information you might need to know (incase this is an error in the program and I'm not just stupid)
I'm running WinXP SP2
I installed, rebooted and nothing changed (incase it requires reboot)
When I drag and drop files onto it, the blue progress bar acts like it's uploading, then it disappears and says "Speed: 14kbps", and then just goes back to Upload Status: Idle. No links to my files or anything.
How exactly does this program work? I'm way too confused.. and it looks like a simple one to run.
After the status goes back to idle, is there a new item in the history list, and is the url of the file in your clipboard?
If not, we might have a problem here.

Nothing shows up. But ofcourse, I went to sleep and left the upload going. So.. I'm not sure if it was there for a little amount of time and disappeared or what. But when I woke up and checked it, it was blank. I didn't click clear or anything.

I'm going to try it again. Maybe it was just left idle for too long?

It did it with a smaller file.
Hmmm.. would it not record the links if it was minimized? But the thing is.. when it's minimized, it dosent go to the system tray. It totally disappears and I have to reopen it up. And when I reopen the program, it's still uploading, but when I woke up earlier, no links were there.
Using Shup to upload files larger than around 10-20mb is a bad idea, especially on a slower connection. Web servers have a tendency to kill connections after a certain amount of time, so if you're trying to upload 20mb over dialup, the upload will fail.
As for Shup disappearing, are you sure the system tray icon isn't just hidden? Shup won't allow more than one instance of itself to be run at a time, so when you try to start it the second time that's the first instance popping up.

I have a cable connection. When I closed Shup and reopened it, it decided to show up in my system tray. I was trying to upload a 600+MB file (a zip of a lot of songs I've written and recorded myself.. no need to worry about pirated music on your site). The progress bar will go all the way to the end, and then nothing. It craps out on me and goes back to Upload Status Idle... Should I just resort to the upload form on the site?
600mb is just plain too big to be uploading to our/most site(s) via a web form. Our web server, for example, has a hard limit of 64mb per upload, to prevent abuse. And sites like YouTube, which regularly deal with large files, use Flash to handle large uploads.
To fix the problem, you might try splitting the zip into manageable chunks!
