Hey guys I'm new to Ninjam and its awesome. However, I'm trying to figure out how you create your own room/server/jam session for only specific people to join. Say if you wanted to jam w/ guys from your own band or one just buddy, but so no one else outside can join in. Any help would be appreciated.

Would jamming with your band on ninjam cause legal problems if you were trying to practice originals (because of the terms of the Creative Commons License) or does that only apply to jams on the jamfarm servers?

The owner of the server dictates the policy.
So, if you run the server, then you can decide how you want to license the content.
The code, however, is different.
If you modify the code, then you are obliged to give back your contributions, as specified by the GPL.

Actually, if you modify the code and don't distribute it, you're not obliged to distribute the source.. but anyway...
