FR: ImageEditor rectangle tool

First of all, thanks for shup. What a great tool!

One wish from my side: I would love to have a simple rectangle drawing tool in the image editor. Usually I'd like to mark certain areas with an orange rectangle around it. The free hand drawing just doesn't look very nice.

Even nicer would be a rectangle with rounded corners :-)

Is that feasable?

first of all, thank you for the kind words and for using shup =)

try using the marquee tool to select a rectangular area of the image, then right-click inside that area. you should get a popup menu with the options you desire ("draw border").

please note that "border" color is defined by the paintbrush color.
