I'm using DirectSound, and when I join any room everything stutters and it sounds like its going through a delay pedal at a very fast speed. Does anyone know what to do?

Sounds like your audio is feeding back.. do you have a microphone plugged in? Also, try using ASIO or Kernel Streaming (in the audio configuration box)-- the waveOut and DirectSound modes aren't really usable..

It's not feedback... It's just real laggy and delayed. It has something to do with my computer being very unreliable... I tried installing an ASIO driver and then it said I didn't have a WDM device. I then tried to install a WDM device, but it said WDM devices aren't compatitible with Windows 98... And anything else I try, it says something like "audio not configured properly..."
