Hello

I was wondering if it was a good idea to use Shup for hosting mp3 files to be played by flash mp3 players (like xsp, zanorg and alikes) ?

THank you !

Shup can upload mp3s just fine. Your streaming capabilities will very depending on which host you use for the actual file storage, however.

Stashbox allows streaming, but I can't speak to the other hosts.

thank you for your answer.
So the speed won't depend on Stashbox, but will depend on my website's host provider, that's it ?

Well, no. A Flash-based mp3 player would stream from Stashbox to the user directly, but you'll have no problems with speed from Stashbox :)

I was just trying to clarify that Shup doesn't actually host the files, it uploads them.

Ok, it makes sense.
I didn't know that the file was only uploaded on strashbox, and not hosted. Thanks for the explanation.

Hehe, no. The file is indeed hosted on Stashbox, but uploaded via Shup ;).
