Superior Drummer 2.0

I haven't been able to determine if the drums in Superior Drummer 2.0 are unprocessed or processed. I guess the drums in BFD2 are unprocessed. BFD2 looks really impressive, plus they offer expansion packs. But 55 GB? It must take awhile to install all that as I imagine it comes on multiple DVD's.

And what about expansion packs for Superior Drummer? On the site they advertise Drumkit from Hell. But they mention it going along with EZ Drummer. Will it work also for Superior Drummer 2.0? I'm interested in rock/metal.

1. Superior is not processed (EZ Drummer is processed)
2. Expansions for Superior Drummer 2 should be available next year, or so I've heard.
3. The Drumkit from Hell 2 expansion they advertise is for EZDrummer.
This is no good - overly processed, artificial sounding.

The "original" Drumkit from Hell 2 was for Superior - this is discontinued, but it sounded great.

All the EZDrummer and Superior libraries should work with Superior Drummer 2 though.

I don't know if you're referring to the same expansion pack. They have re-released something called Drumkit from Hell EZX or something. I guess it contains the original plus a subsequent package. I guess you can use it with Superior Drummer 2.0.

Maybe it is the same? Not sure. If it is, would the EZX be processed sounds too?

It's the same pack.
Drumkit from Hell EZX is an EZ Drummer eXpansion pack. The original DFH (so small that fitted in a single 700MB CD!) and its sequel DFH 2 are discontinued.
You can load EZDrummer expansion packs in Superior Drummer but currently there are no expansion packs designed specifically for Superior.

I meant just other samples that you can buy online that would work with Superior Drummer. Not the ones actually put out by ToonTrack.

However, the ToonTrack expansions look inviting. But I suppose those expansions contain samples that are already processed? Like EZ Drummer is already processed, or so I've read.
