Not a big issue and hopefully not a stupid question, but how come Shup sits in my System Tray when I first start windows?
I've taken the tick out of the box called 'Start Shup when Windows starts'. It only started happening when I recently updated to the latest version.

Look in the Shup preferences, is the "Start Shup with Windows?" box checked? Try unchecking it and maybe restarting Shup, it should not start with Windows anymore.

I definitely unchecked the box, as I said in my first post.
I'm using Vista. Could it be a weird Vista quirk?
As I said previously, it's not a big issue.

Ah sorry, I thought you said the box in the installer, as there might be some disconnect between the two settings.
It could be a Vista thing, is there a Shup shortcut in your "Startup" folder? Does Vista have a startup folder? Deleting this shortcut would fix the problem.

Yes, I found the Startup folder eventually and your idea worked.
Many thanks
Pete
Great! I will have to look at fixing this for Vista. Time to crack open VMWare!
