I am not sure if this is supposed to be normal but it doesn't look like so...
Track 1: insert a VSTi (Reasynth will do)
Insert a track 2 inside track 1 (therefore making track 1 a folder)
Similarly insert track 3 inside track 2
You have this structure:
Track 1
|
--Track 2
|
--Track 3
Now, arm the track 3 for MIDI recording and test. The VSTi in track 1 will playback with noticeable latency added.
