(Finally found Liteon's JS effects and his peak limiter, so I'll be busy for a while. I'd still appreciate any advice/pointers anyone has, thanks!)
Hey-
Had a thought folks here might have some good suggestions. I've been modeling an effect in Max/MSP that I want to turn into an iPlug, and it uses the Octimax peak limiter included as a stock object.
Control parameters are: input gain, output gain, threshold and 2 response times: punchy and smooth.
So, I'm looking for open source code that would incorporate peak limiting in my effect that's equivalent to the Octimax limiter. I can well imagine I'd might have to adapt something, so code/plugs to avoid, pointers to web pages on limiter/compression "theory," or whatever would helpful.
In other words, any leads would appreciated!
Thanks, Charles
