MAJOR OT: how do i fix a tire?

umm... I somehow got a roofing nail in my tire yesterday, its in there good, of course causing a slow leak -- i can fill it with air over and over again, but perhaps i could just fix it with one of those patch-rope=doohickey things...

does anyone know how?

figure id post it in the spam trap cause it really isnt a musical question or of course anything to do with reaper.

A tire store will usually fix it AND guarantee the fix for the life of the tire for about 15 buck, much more worth it than paying for the kit and screwing it up...

the tire is a banana peel anyway, perhaps i should just get a new one then. 15 dollars vs 60 or so for a new tire... ill have to look into it. thx.

Man, it becomes a matter of safety at that point. Replace it. Broken bones can mean no pleasure recording or playing for that matter. Of course this IS the Reaper forum...

you can also pull the tire, find the nail, remove it, then patch it yourself using a plug kit.. tho you'd need the plug kit...

yeah for sure!

but it just seemed a bit worthless cause the tire sucked anyway... yeah, it so happens the junkyard i got the tires from went out of business. there was nowhere to pay for it!!!

so i left a note and took the tires home...

never got a call.

I have seen some plug kits from Dynaplug that seem to work. You just pull the nail out and stick in the plug. It seems simple enough to me. I just did a quick web search and I think dynaplug.com is the site you are looking for. Good luck.
