Dude, I love this program. It is almost perfect for running on a few old tablet PC (Point510's) that I have in frames.

However, there's no way that my wife is gonna let me run this thing in our family room etc with all the snatch that seems to come up no matter what I choose to search. I had "sunsets" and various related terms in the google search, and not three images into it was a huge beaver shot! Wild...

Anyway, is there a way to specify "safe" search inthe url parameter?

Also, how does it choose images? If I wanted to point this to a free stock photography site for example, how would I structure the url so that it will take the query string?

A bit of guidance on how to control image grabbing (I amost said image snatchiung, but realized that would be wrong... :) )

Thanks man!

P.S. how open are you to suggestions?

I just posted build #44 up. I added "safe=on" to the Google search URL. Hopefully that will work mo better for ya.

It grabs images that are linked to from the given URL. I think. Heh, I hardly ever work on that part of the code any more. I think it will be the next big chunk I overhaul. It really needs to be able to read RSS feeds and use user-given queries etc.

I'm definitely open to ideas. I don't have a lot of time to spend on Debris at the moment tho. I'm just trying to sneak in a few hours on it here and there.

Sorry my reply took so long. :)

Yes the safe search is really good if you want a clean picture, but not all censored images on google are porn so, this my limit the final images abilities to really shine. This is like art censorship. In the art world that is bad right? So I would really like to see an option to have safe mode on and off.

Well, the latest version I just now posted (#45) has separate SafeSearch ON and OFF modes. It's at: http://badmofo.org/debris/download/debris-install45.exe

Enjoy!
