I wanted to create a topic on this, but i just ignored it for a while. Here's something from my own experience :

I used to be an internet addict as well, reading the latest forums, talking about whats the hottest software outside, which is the best host etc. A month or two ago, i stopped doing that and swore not to visit the forums for a week. You wont believe how incredibly productive I've been, both musically and in terms of my studies. Best advice I can give you is to browse the forums just ONE time a day, for 15 minutes and then do your work the rest of the day.


Or else you'll be happy just to see familiar faces among different forums. :D

you know I am making lots of music - I often start working on two or three songs in one week - and I also finish most of my songs... ;)

If I'd be making more than this I think I'd go crazy - sometimes I'm browsing the web to actually stop myself from starting another song - hard to explain, but if you're very productive it can become like an addiction and starting to feel like eating up your soul - and the songs are less and less worth to you even though their quality doesn't get worse with each new one but rather better instead - I bet that sounds odd to you but it's how I feel...




...but the internet is also an addiction to me and you're giving good advice - actually you could say I'm caught between two addictions... *lol*

The bass takes off....beautifully. Stanley Clark on steroids....Oh me of little faith.

I can say this because all the bass players who play with us are internet illiterate. Ha ha ha. Heeee heee ho ho ho. They will never read this so I can say it. Bass players are troublesome and scary ho ho hee hee. They get drunk and slobber all over women in the audience. Ho ho ho. They try to hit on your girlfriend. Ha ha. I can say anything about them. They have snot drops hanging from their noses and don't realise it.
