newbie needs help.....

Hi all,
i have decided to give reaper a try so far so good but, i am trying to record for the 1st time. When i hit the record button i get the error mesage "can't write to recording files,does the directory exist?"
please help

Your default recording path may not exist for some reason.

i think your right,
it looks like all i had to do was restart reaper after the install and "BAM!" i'm recording!
This program is so easy i'm thinking something is wrong!?!?!!
