After a year of intense DIY recording and mixing sessions finnish punk band Out of Tune has released it's debut full lenght "Discontent Producers" in CD and digital download formats. We have also released full unmixed / dry multitrack files of the album for remixing and sampling purposes. Everything is released under Creative Commons Noncommercial-Attribution-ShareAlike-license (more information at http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/ ).

Tracks are 24bit/44.1 khz and packed as zip files, which also include text file with more detailed information and REAPER projects for the songs. The REAPER projects only have everything imported with correct tempo settings, otherwise it's same as importing all the tracks to any sequencer.

We're not having any remix competitions or anything like that, but if you create something cool out of these files it'd be nice if you inform us too. You're not required to, but we'd probably like to thank you somehow.

The zip files are pretty big so you should probably listen and choose a track before you start downloading. (The zip containing the whole album's tracks is 2,2 gigabytes. We're preparing a torrent download to reduce load on the server, also if someone would want to help out with mirroring it would be appreciated.)

We hope that releasing the album with a Creative Commons license will encourage others to use similar methods for distributing their music. The release of this album also saw the formation of Luova luokkasota - Creative Class War, a loose art/media collective dedicated to advance ideas of free distribution of critical, unconventional and avantgarde culture. Thank you, that had a nice garageish touch with clean lead guitar and so.

We're waiting for more radical reworkings, like, you can fuck this shit up completely.

So you give full permission to twist a song into a completely different genre then eh? Excellent! I'll get back to you in a week, this is just what i needed to take a break from my own songs and try something different!

Ok, so I really liked the Technocracy song so I spent the day kinda doing a slight modification to the original song. I felt it needed a lil TBL love. Hope you guys like it.

UPDATE: Ok I added a bassline, and did a few tweaks to it to make it weirder. I guess it's industrial-ish now instead of punk muhahah.

There's now a "Remixes and derivative works"-page at http://www.out-of-tune.net/remix where you can submit your own versions.
