Virtual keyboard doesn't open in focus
When you open the virtual midi keyboard you can't start using it until you find the window and select it
When you open the virtual midi keyboard, you can't start using it until you find the window and select it. Turning on "send all input" doesn't work either, because it doesn't remember that setting once you close it! Two bugs in one.

I'm not sure why this was changed to a feature request - the second half of what I wrote is definitely a bug (why would the program intentionally forget settings... is remembering settings a feature I have to request?) and the first half doesn't follow what other windows do (routing and grouping matrix). Anyway, seemed like a simple fix...

You probably didn't select the proper project category "Open Bugs" when submitting the issue.
However, I can't repro the VKB window not having focus after opening. Do you have any specific steps to reproduce the issue?
The second part (remembering the state of the "send all kb input..." setting) could be a FR indeed .

That would make sense. Alas we see it often that not even the affected OS is being mentioned, which is kinda bad for a multi-platform app. I just assume it's some Windows version then. :)

You can't reproduce it because it was fixed in 3.14! :)
Also no, not OSX.
I still think the second part is a bug because almost every other toggleable option in the program remembers what you set it to (some weird exceptions in the midi editor). I mean it's like if you turn on "show sends" for the mixer, and the next time you open it it's off again. I think it's safe to assume when someone turns something on they want to keep it on, and if they don't they'll just turn it off themselves. Am I crazy for seeing it that way?
But anyway, I should probably make a separate issue for that, and I'm already pretty happy that half of this is fixed.

That's true, I actually tested it in the wrong installation (sorry, got 6 different ones spread over several computers and I'm getting old and crappy and there was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts. IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD. ).

the VKB fixed,
but there is still this issue for other floatings, not all of them.
i think this thread should change to some floating windows don't get focus on open.
