A project has a default single tempo BMP value (aka Project BPM in the project settings). And then there's the tempo automation from the master track.
I am asking for a function to toggle between:
1)
follow tempo map (this is the current default behavior)
or...
2)
ignore tempo map, use single tempo value (ignores the tempo map, you set the current tempo manually)
This is very useful for when you want to e.g. temporarily record (usually midi performance) at slower speed through a part of the song, without changing the song's tempo structure. You simply disengage the tempo map, set a lower tempo, record, and then engage tempo map back on again.
The ideal implementation for me would be a small button on the transport bar, right next to the BPM indicator. The project tempo value should be remembered independently of the current value in the tempo map.
