Use Shift for disabling snap when moving Time Selection
Use Shift for disabling snap when moving Time Selection
Currently it is needed to press Ctrl for moving time selection with snap to grid temporarily disabled. Why it should be Ctrl if for many other objects Shift is used for this?

Agreed. It's all about consistency.

This is legacy behavior. Shift is used to move the entire time selection (not just one edge), and that behavior existed before the behavior of shift to override snap elsewhere. We plan to change these specific defaults for v4 (when changing default behavior will catch fewer people by surprise), but not before.

This could all also be enveloped and editable with the mighty Mouse Zone Editor. I presume it's being saved for v4 as well :P
