When i want to colour a track i right click, scroll to track colour and choose 'set tracks to custom colour',
I can't set the colour because i don't see the colour window on my screen. I have to use escape to continue.

First:
"If you need REAPER help, have a performance problem, or are not 100% certain that the unexpected behavior is a bug, please discuss it in the user forum, not here. " ;) Under "REAPER Bug Reports"
Your Problem is very easy to solve:
ccolor_x=
ccolor_y=
open reaper.ini with a texteditor, search and change both lines to
ccolor_x=0
ccolor_y=0
you maybe have moved your ccolor...window in an invisible area of your screen
Or dual screen before and now single screen...
