I use my Latitude D820 with reaper and a UX2, no issues at all. I rarely go more than 10 tracks, though.

Maybe I'm just lucky, or my low track count keeps me safe..

No, when it crashed, it was an *Unhandled* Exception. Meaning, there was an exception(which may not actually be an error, per se) that the application(reaper) didn't know what to do with. A true bug....
