Default More information

Hi folks,

I appreciate the octave shift I reported is not a solely drums related issue, although that's where I first found the problem. I have checked with Cubase and Sequel and they are both registering and recording my keyboard correctly, with no octave shift.

I have found a parameter in Reaper preferences such that when I set Octave Name Display Offset to -1, it records the keystrokes correctly in the piano roll. ie. I hit C3 and it records C3 and not C4! Why should Reaper "out of the box" record in the piano roll with a octave shift?

I don't like the setting of the parameter because I don't understand why I need to.

All help gratefully received.

Paul

PS. Should I take this out to a separate thread?
