Tonelabs are of course much more versitile and have effects etc, but the sounds are in the same "zone"/feel. Same kind of very dynamic feel and response. Tonelabs are awesome. They have tube in the signal chain, but the feel is kind of the same. I like them all. Signal is cleaner with tonelabs. Amplugs hiss little. Not a problem for me. Some "golden ears" might have a problem.

The point of getting amplug is that it´s cheap, lean and mean machine. You can get GREAT sounds for almost zero cash.

Almost everytime after a gig someone comes and asks "hey man! You have a great sound. What amp are you using? I didn¨t see one on the stage." They look stupified when I show my amplug... I just turn everything to ten (it won´t go to eleven) and control the sound with guitars volume & tone. I get cleans and full screams that way...works like a tube amp.
