Default Mobius UI no longer works well in REAPER

I used to use Mobius inside REAPER as a host for some live shows a few years ago.

I just tried again but the Mobius UI gets squashed into a corner in REAPER on Mac OS X.

I tested in another DAW (Nuendo) and it seems to work fine there.

You can download Mobius 2 here for free to test with.

Apologies for going off topic but, mrlimbic, I couldn't help but notice your avatar and am wondering if that is related to a certain 1985 song about free money?

I've started experimmenting instead with SooperLooper which is free and has pretty much the exact same functionality as Mobius. But it is OSX/Linux only.

Not sure what you mean? It is a monkey playing the bongos. I play percussion and like monkeys.

Same here - looks fine in Windows, but garbled in OSX.
My solution for OSX was to edit the layout so that it has just one track and a couple of parameters visible. Then it sort of works.

The thing is I need more than one track. Both Mobius & SooperLooper are modelled on the old EDP (but can run many in parallel synced), so both can do pretty much the same.

Mobius doesn't seem to be actively maintained any more, but SooperLooper is, so I would rather risk something live on that.

Ah ok. I thought it might've been a reference to Dire Straits' Money for Nothing, especially this bit....

And he's up there, what's that? Hawaiian noises?
Bangin' on the bongoes like a chimpanzee
That ain't workin' that's the way you do it
Get your money for nothin' get your chicks for free
Some interesting facts behind the inspiration for this song...
Quote:
Mark Knopfler (vocals & guitars) wrote "Money for Nothing" after overhearing delivery men in a New York department store complain about their jobs while watching MTV. He wrote the song in the store sitting at a kitchen display they had set up. Many of the lyrics were things they actually said. Mark Knopfler : "The lead character in the song is a guy who works in the hardware department in a television/custom kitchen/refrigerator/microwave appliance store. He's singing the song. I had to ask for a pen and paper while I sat down in this mock kitchen display - which was in the front window of this kitchen electrical and appliance store - and tried to write the tune. In the back of the store, all the TVs were tuned into MTV".

Replying to an old thread because it's an enduring problem.

I found that opening the Mobius stand-alone app let me fix the problem. By arranging the visual components I want in the stand-alone, the changes are carried over to the vst in Reaper.
