Default PPG Wave 2.V - reverts to default patch on project load

Hi,

I own a VSTi plugin (have the CDs etc), the PPG Wave 2.V (v1.2.1) from a plugin pack called 'The Waldorf Edition' by Steinberg that doesn't seem to be playing nicely in Reaper. If I save a project after tweaking the synth, and reload the project it defaults to the first factory setting on load. I've saved a reaper preset too, and switching to the preset works, but on project load, it goes back to default.

Anyone have any ideas? I've attempted to find updates for this, but it doesn't seem that there are any of this particular version/pack, and its quite old.

I hate to ask, but is anyone running a cracked version of this that works? should I try and track it down?

Mine works normally! Version 1.2.3 though. That might be the issue.

Thats good to hear. I shall have to track down that version. Hopefully there's an update sitting on the web somewhere.

Dammit :

Note: This update only works with the Waldorf Edition published by Waldorf. The update does not work with and is not needed for the legacy Waldorf Edition published by Steinberg. Customers of Steinberg's Waldorf Edition can upgrade to the new Waldorf Edition. Contact your local distributor for details.

Then upgrade to Waldorf's edition

It's not even expensive! 50€ http://www.thomann.de/de/waldorf_waldorf_edition.htm

Yeah, well I kinda have a philosophical problem with paying extra money to fix a bug in software I've already paid for, unless I'm actually getting some extra features for that money. Are there functional differences between the two? (apart from one working properly )

I wouldn't know, I have only this version :/

Well, you should see the upgrade cost, it should be even less in your case, owning Steinberg's Edition. Try e-mailing Waldorf directly, they will reply promptly.

Try the "Save as bank" option in the preferences ...

Just checked, and that was already ticked.

I've sent an email to Waldorf and we'll see if they reply.
