mmmhhmm, I like nicely rounded things. Frankly speaking I am still hoping for v3.1416 because that one will be even rounder still.
Wait, no I am not. Because if you went that road there'd never be a 3.2 at all. Better leave some edges and corners in if you ask me .

Can't wait for the first extensions to appear using the new MIDI API stuff)

Edit: oops, somehow I got slopped over to this party Nice. Happy birthday, argee

I would be happy if Reaper went into pi-version numbers (like TeX). My registration is only valid until 3.99.

"Live performance: FX multiprocessing optimization"

Sounds interesting.

-but still no ability to turn off delay-compensation, and no midi-control improvements, so why bother with ANY live-performance fixes?
It's like buying a hooker a raincoat.

You can disable PDC per-VST. Right-click the plugin IO button (it shows something like "2 in 2 out"), the bottom option is "disable PDC". We should add this to the FX chain options menu probably too.

The video support is coming on nicely! would LOVE the option to enable "edit" mode like in Nuendo where the video position tracks your item as it's being moved, if we had this for item start and end, crossfades and automation plus markers it would truly rock!. (hope it's coming!)

Any probs with videos please add them here..

http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.p...630#post401630

(seems like a good place to put them for now as Christophe is active on that thread)

Just thought,

"EDIT MODE" could be done so easily by giving reaper the option (toggled by a key command or toolbar icon) to make the edit cursor lock to the point of edit.

so if you adjust the start the edit cursor locks to it and follows your edit thus moving the screen image too.

this could be the same for any edit, automation and markers included.

What would be the reason for turning off the PDC.

So the PDC doesn't add complete ASIO blocks to the latency of the track per plugin. Useful for live situations.

Oh that's interesting. So if I'm jamming on an instrument with my keyboard its best to turn it off?

Only for plugins you wish to process audio with when you're recording/jamming, that also produce latency.

If you're running at a sample buffer of 128, every plugin that produces latency, no matter how much, would add 128 samples to the output latency. Without PDC(for recording at least), you'll only get the latency the plugin actually produces. Of course is the plugin produces more latency than your asio buffer, Reaper would round UP to the next block boundary for the latency compensation.

When you're mixing and not recording on that track any longer, it's best to turn PDC back on of course.
