Rendering stems - A request for "time selection" rendering

Hello, I'm aware that it is possible to render a time-selection from the "File" menu in Reaper, but when you do a stem render on a single track (for instance, a VST instrument track), it only renders the whole length of the song, i.e. no option to render just the few bars you want.

The stem render function is otherwise a very fast and convenient function, and it would be a huge improvement if a future update to Reaper would include the ability to right-click (say, on a solo instrument track) and tell it to render only the time selection, not the whole length of the song.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this issue?

There is still so much power just overlooked in Reaper with regards to "Time Selection". Once we all light onto this, the program will jump light years forward.

I feel that this is a big oversight within Reaper. If they added this feature it would be a superfast way to 'freeze' short phrases that you are creating with effects plugins etc, and it would really speed up the music composing process.
