Thing is you can't change anyone else, all you can do is say how you feel, and change yourself if you think it will help.
Frankly I think it does help, but when there are lot's of people involved there are bound to be disputes, trying to force a conclusion only makes matters worse.
You find that wherever you go. If you left this forum for good where would you go? No need to answer because the only means of avoiding things that happen is to become a recluse. Sensitive people do become reclusive in the hope of avoiding conflict, it works to some extent but it's not really what they want, that's a lonely place to be.
So by saying how you feel, instead of making a judgment you offer up something for people to think about, then they may make the decision to change.
I don't really F***ing Hate anything, I can't afford to - for the above reasons

Stick around dude.
I just left another forum myself... not necessarily because of the peeps there, the software sucks and is going down hill at a rapid rate. I and a few others were attempting to be 'the voice of reason' to get the devs attention. Mostly we caught hell for it. Some people can't stand truth. Anyway, this is a cool place. Hang around and add your coolness to it.

Haha don't worry, I'm not going anywhere soon (even though taking a break from this place will most likely increase my productivity..)
I had a REALLY bad bloody nose this morning... I blame my thoughts of leaving on massive blood loss
I "strongly dislike" randomly having a bloody nose after brushing my teeth that lasts for over a half hour and makes me late for work in the morning.

Haha! My fiance's dog farts and looks at her butt like "what the heck was that?" then she leaves the room, lays down, and covers her nose with her paw.

Look fellas... I ain't joking. This dog can somehow defy all natural laws. He's probably roughly fifteens pounds I guess? Jack Russel Terrier. He can peel paint with his farts and some how, I'll be jiggered if I can figure out how... it seems he can crap TWICE his body weight daily.
Unbelievable... I am sooo sick of clearing out the 'puppy pad' and his stench...
D
PS The part that pisses me off most is... he's my buddy. *shrug*

THAT is criminal... "salt free" Pffft!!
I hate when SQL crap "talking" to stuff it really wasn't designed to "talk to" in the first place breaks.
And when you click "Check Syntax" this evil sounding laugh bursts out in 7.1 stereo...

Were you at least able to salvage some sort of enjoyment by utilizing a bit of mustard? If not, then you should punish them all.
I hate that I can't get up to pee because of this absurd conference call I am on, whereas I've been on 4 consequtive calls and I am about to piss myself.

Same thing happened yesterday. I called the instigator of the call back as soon as it was over and said "My bladder hates your freakin' guts right now!!" Then I slammed the phone down and ran like h#ll for the mens room...

I hear you - I hate that this is my all-time busiest time of year. Literally meetings from 8:30 - 5:30-6:00 everyday. Leaves little time to take care of your biological needs.

Being told to stop over-thinking things by people who don't think things through such that they go wrong

I am perfectly well aware that I am the Honourary Lifetime fucking Chair of the Over-thinker's Society but if you going to fucking criticise me for it you had better have fucking thought it through beforehand.

Einstein was a bit of a thinker. He didn't have much to say until he was about eight years old - too busy thinking.
Later in his life he is quoted as saying: I am not particularly clever, I just stay with the problem longer.
Console yourself with the thought that other people are just lazy - and impatient

HA! You just nailed it bro'... Do you have any idea of how often the following words have been uttered at me after a "discussion" with my apparently brain-dead colleagues at work?
"Ohhh... I didn't THINK of that..."
Well duh... fargin' morons... THINKING: Try it some time!
D
EDIT: I have a theory about "thinkers" and musicians versus the 'rest' of the world...
A LOT of dudes in our company who I consider be sharper than the average pocket knife are also musicians. Coincidence?

People that are told they think too much are often Highly Sensitive People. that's a proper label so you can Google it if you like.
Highly Sensitive People are often mislabeled as shy, and timid, because they are thoughtful and cautious.
They are highly intuitive and can often sense how other people are feeling and are very empathetic. They can be overwhelmed by too much stimuli such as noisy, busy situations and often need quiet time alone, more than the average person.
They are caring, they re curious, conscientious, meticulous even, compassionate and spiritually inclined. They are also blessed with an incredible aesthetic awareness and appreciation for nature, music and the arts.
Sound like you? It sure sounds like me.
About 1 in 5 of us are Highly Sensitive and given the traits they share I wouldn't be surprised if that figure were not far higher on the REAPER forum - for several reasons

And... I hate the company I work for. I am working in the middle east and was payed salary into my account back home, now they want to pay in local currency at an exchange rate much lower than any of the banks offer, meaning when I transfer money home I'm down by about $1000 a month. No negotiation, take it or leave, Mongrels.

Yup. I guess that pretty much fits with one exception;
Empathy - Mine only goes so far anymore. As I have gotten older, I find that while maintaining some level of empathy, I have little patience for BS and trivial crap anymore. If it's truly deserved empathy, then I'm there. Otherwise, don't come cryin' to me.
I've had to take that stupid Myers-Briggs 'test' several times over the course of my career. Every time it says I am type INTP (INtuitive, Thinking, Perception)
During one of the group 'tests' the Doc gave us a question and asked us to write down our answers and keep them to ourselves until he came around.
"You have twenty sheep. A storm comes and they huddle under a tree. Lightning strikes the tree and kills 13 of the sheep. How many sheep do you have left?"
I was the only one who wrote down 20. He came around and said "What the...? What do you mean 20?" I said "Look man, I STILL HAVE 20 sheep. However, I now have to go get the back-hoe and BURY 13 OF 'EM. They're STILL mine."
He just rolled his eyes and walked away... LOL!
D
PS Sorry for the OT... I just think that's a funny story. *shrug* Psych tests ARE funny... to me anyways...
PPS I hate that I woke up at 0230 this morning and got miserably sleepy again just in time for the alarm clock to sound. Now I'm at work feeling like hammered dog sh!t...

That's not really empathy is it D?
Empathy is something you feel, empathy is always sincere because you are sensing how someone else feels. It's not something that's earned. If you personally feel the same sense of loss, or joy when someone else feels that way it's empathy. If you do something about it that's another thing

I suppose that's true Ted. Good call.
@shemp - Counting dead sheep? I wish... every time I wake up, work crap starts running around in my brain and I can't make it stop.
