Yep, I use it as a teleprompter when tracking. These days any tune I am going to "seriously" record I take a bunch of empty items on a track called "Arrangement" and I split up and color those accordingly INTRO/VS1/CHORUS and so on then I get them all placed so I have a complete visual reference of the entire song.
I can also add things like chord names or reminders "lay it back a little right here". Then when tracking I might make it really big and zoomed in so that just that big horizontal/color coded/text info teleprompter is scrolling by. It's a lifesaver.
When I was tracking with a drummer last year, I hooked up a third computer monitor and ran it across the room sitting about 3 Feet from him. I set it up so that he always saw that track as full screen almost and it was his bouncing ball since he wasn't completely comfortable with the arrangement.
