Default Happy Heavy Metal, Hapvy Metal? Original Song

Hello all, I wanted to share a recent song that I wrote and recorded. I use Reaper since 2014 and never looked back since.

This is a progressive metal song, but I tried to write it in a major key so that it has that happiness vibe in it instead of the usual aggressive depressive metal vibe that is often associated with the use of minor key as the base of the song.

Guitar and bass recorded using Positive Grid Bias Amp desktop, drum recorded using MT Power Drum Kit. Guitar is Ibanez PGM30 with LiquiFire and D-Sonic from DiMarzio, bass is Ibanez BTB775PB, and DAW is Reaper.

Enjoy! All comments are welcomed and appreciated, thank you!

First, this is not my kind of music and I'm not fond of instrumental.
The first part until the break ~2:00 felt unrythmic.
The break ~2:00 was great and the rest felt much better than the first part.
Didn't like the drums. Felt compressed and no cymbals.
Great guitar playing and sound (I use BIAS FX).

Msundh, thank you for the feedback and for listening despite the fact that this music might not be what you usually listen to. I really appreciate your input and comment and will try to implement some of your suggestions for future projects. Thank you once again

That's some heavy handed compression. Great playing though, shamelessly Periphery-ish.

Hi Zeekat thank you for your comment! Yes Periphery is a big influence on my playing currently, I am actually flattered that you could sense the Periphery influence in my song, thank you!
