Default No 'stereo' in monitors

when I pan the Master panning hard lt and rt. - The volume decreases (by 1/2) and doesn't 'go' 'back and forth' between speakers?!?!?!?
Presonus Project studio
Yamaha HS80's.

Right-Click on the Pan Knob and check which Pan Law Mode you're using.

Pan Law and Pan Mode are different things, and best not to confuse them. Neither of them could possibly be the problem, though.

Make sure the Master Mono button isn't engaged. Open the Master's Routing panel and make sure Width is 100%. While you're there, make sure your Hardware Send us actually set up for proper stereo output to your interface.

If you still haven't fixed it, Shift+Left Click the Master FX button to open Monitor FX and make sure you haven't accidentally stuck something in there.

If it's still not fixed, then it's outside of Reaper. Either your interface has its fancy stupid routing/mixing software in the way or you've got things physically plugged in wrong.

Yeah, I should have used 'Pan Settings' instead (not sure why I somehow mixed both terms together in my post)

Also, on second thought, the active [Mono] button you mentioned seems more likely to be the issue here ...

Reaper 3x balance (depreciated).
I just tried others with the same results (not panning, just volume decreases)
