Default PDC for some FX

i'm not sure what to make of this, so i'm posting it in here.
testing with buffer size of 512samples.

1. for reacomp:

- stop playback
- instert reacomp
- set mix to 50%
- set os factor
- set pre-comp around 10ms
- start playback
- slowly move (with smoothing) the pre-comp fader to 0
- [speculation] reported plugin delay becomes incorrect, unless transport is reset

vid:

----
2. i've downloaded a demo for this fx

- parallel routing dry/wet.
- after setting the fx to 'offline' the pdc value is somehow preserved (still in order) and one of the tracks is delayed to the other, until transport is reset.

this could be plugin specific, as it only happens with this fx.

---
the two could be related.
but for both, restarting the transport is acceptable, if its the only possible solution.

If i'm understanding this correctly your expecting latency to be adjusted in real time? I've never seen a plug in do this and if it attempted to without some kind of granular style smoothing you would hear it very easily and badly. if i've misunderstood please ignore this it's early here!

looks like the second one is specific for the d16 plugs (offline toggle) and its most likely an issue from their side.

the first one looks like an issue in reacomp. note that when moving the pre-comp slider (lookahead mode?), latency adjustment occurs in realtime. however when moving the slider slowly towards 0 (in the above example) incorrect latency is reported. for example 30ms instead of 0ms or something in these lines.

and why, if the aa filter attenuation is visible at 50% mix, moving the pre-comp control changes that.

but this is minor stuff.

just clicked the [yes can reproduce button]
could be a bit difficult to reproduce in general.
