Enhancing Reaper with quantum physics.
hi,
some of you may remember that star trek voyager episode where they added a slipstream drive to the ship and they were able to travel much faster.
Quote:
The slipstream is a narrowly-focused, directed warp field that is initiated by manipulating the fabric of the space-time continuum at the quantum level. It works by focusing a quantum field through a deflector dish to generate massive changes in local space curvature; this creates a subspace tunnel, which is projected in front of the vessel. Once a ship has entered this tunnel, the forces inside propel it at incredible speed...
|
could be a great addition to reaper :
|Sheet 39: Quantum Slipstream Vessel - U.S.S Dauntless NCC-71879|
^ this is the only known specification of the technology.
hopefully it can be implemented one day, so that users can "warp" directly to the end of the project when its already finished ?

I think the improbability drive is a much more promising technology for a DAW, especially the GUI, making it possible that wherever you click, there will be the right button under the cursor.

Such technology could, in theory, do away with the necessity of the "undo" functionality of Reaper. Using the Superman example of time travel, propelling a project forward at such speed could, in theory, result in arriving at a state before the project began. Thus, controlling this in a meaningful way could serve the same purpose as "undo."

Our IT depatment has requested something similar. They asked for new keyboards for the top talkers on the support line.
Each keyboard would have only one key................ with the word "Answer" written on it!

Besides Reaper does make good use of the 4th dimension already.

Yeah it's broken because you pressed the Break key at some time.

Really, I think all we need is a Flux Capacitor.

Will a towel be a prerequisite to using Reaper at that point?

You guys all under-estimate Reaper. I've done all my future projects already AND: it was good to have the toilet paper right at hand (so to say, even if this statement is not completely correct) I can asure.

I don't have a Flux Capacitor or Interocitor handy, but could help out by posting pictures of my wormhole.

Could be possible, but the placement of mixerchannels probably has to be reordered slightly.

This is the second word in this thread, that could be considered as pornogrophic: First "slipstream" and now "wormhole".
Where will this lead to?

Possibly a parallel universe. Hopefully not one where REAPER never existed.
