Epic Trailer Impact - all Reaper trailer music
Hello!
I am not sure how many composers use Reaper in their work (Cubase and Digital Performer seems to be much more common among composers)
Me however, I use Reaper in my composing work and as such, I have released an album of trailer music written and recorded only in Reaper!
Anyone interested may visit this page: brickwallaudio.bandcamp.com
I think it's cool how Reaper fits my workflow perfectly, and it makes arranging and working with huge orchestral and percussive music relatively easy!
Cheers!
//Erik

As the title says, it has an epic impact.
What do you use for your sounds, you seem to have a very coherent soundscape from start to finish?

I use alot of instruments from tonehammer, projectsam and quantumleap
and I mix almost exclusively with ReaComp and ReaEQ!
I come from an industrial synth music background, so learning to keep your distortion and your sounds in the mix even when it's almost overflowing, is something I have had with me for a long time!

Very impressive, Eric!
Do you have an equipment list? Would be cool to know what you used to make this. All the orchetral stuff and the choirs are really impressive.
Shogger
Edit: Ah, you already answered the equipment question.

Really cool to see this sort of thing being done with REAPER.
I'm just getting into composing myself (I'm a student) and I think it's hugely annoying that everyone assumes you're using Cubase or DP for the sequencing, and then Protools for mixing.
I think REAPER is hugely capable of this kind of thing.
Great stuff man, really like it.

Thanks! I am very happy you guys like my stuff!!
I can give you guys a bit of insider info: I am currently working on my second album, it will feature more soundtrack type stuff (longer tracks, less intense, more depth)
I can't say much more now, but I will hold an online release party on skype to all friends, fans and colleagues! Simply add my skype: brickwall_audio
and you'll get a copy of my new album for free come release day
(shortly after the release party the upcoming album will be available as usual on bandcamp, itunes etc...)

EXACTLY my sentiment as well! Reaper is pretty awesome for composing, all it lacks is a scoring section, but as I currently work with midi sequencing it's not necessary at this point. Thanks for listening!
