Open Item Copy In External Editor preserves item FX inserts
It would be nice to see an option where choosing "Open Item Copy In External Editor" also makes the inserted item FX appear on the item copy in the REAPER track.
Right now, if I have an item with item FX inserted, and then need to open a section of that item in my external editor, the copied item chunk has no item FX and I have to manually paste them back.

I suppose this request could be a sub-option of the option shown in the attached screen shot.
Something like "Include Opening Item Copies In External Editor"

I'm glad you agree. Normally with my workflow, I don't have an item FX inserted when I'm bringing parts of audio over to RX to clean up. However, sometimes I do have some item FX inserted and then when I highlight a section to bring over to RX5, the newly created item of that section has not item FX and takes some extra work to reapply them.
Not a big deal for a one time situation, but if you suddenly make lots of edits, it can be a time waster.

Yeah, I don't understand why opening the copy in external would remove the item FX. Typically I still want those item FX to be in use, I just had to clean up a section of the item with RX5.
What would be even more helpful is a way that changing the item FX chain or any plugin parameters on an item, would also mirror those changes on any items that are connected to that one item.
