Default How to set the track volume slider as default rather than the knob

Hey. By default the tracks in my reaper have a volume knob instead of a slider. I'm able to change to a slider on each track if I right click the particular track/set track layout/track panel/ac---standard media. However, this only changes the slider on that particular track, not on all tracks by default. If I try to do the same from the meny bar on top of the screen it won't let me make the change.

Thus, every time I add a new track I have to change the volume knob to a slider. Anyone know what I have to do?

Set up several tracks individually like this, and then save as a Template. Go to Preferences to use YOUR TEMPLATE (whatever name you saved it as) as the default for a new project. You can setup the window arrangements, colors, and so on, even track names.

Tried the layouts window? There's a global track layout option there.
