Default upload .mp3

Hi All

I am experiencing a playback problem of a piece I recorded in REAPER.

I'm wondering if it is possible to include a short .mp3 in a message to this Forum to indicate the problem, but jpeg/bmp etc. seem to be the valid formats for inclusion.

Is there a way I can do this, please?

Many thanks.

Use Dropbox or something like that and post the link.

Hi All,

I am currently experiencing playback problems with a piece I recorded in REAPER.

I am using the 'IRCAM - Solo Instruments' software, bought from UVI, through their Workstation.

On playback of the piece, in REAPER, I am getting attenuation at the beginning of each note - the sound begins O.K. but then pops off after a second or two.

This happens 9 times out of 10, and is obviously really frustrating.

1 have been in touch with the help guys at UVI. They advised:

Options>Preferences>VST>VST Compatability. Then tick 'Inform plugins of offline rendering state" which I did to no avail. The problem still exists.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience in fixing this problem.

Any help, of course, gratefully received.

Dropbox link below to .mp3 of part of the track.

Woah, that's insanely frustrating. I sadly don't have any suggestions for a fix, but maybe this should be asked in the general discussion forums? I don't see as much activity here in OS X land.

Maybe start a new thread over there with a title that describes the issue and one of the MIDI gurus hopefully can figure out what's going on.

Also, wow, those flutes sound great! I'd never heard that Uvi IRCAM collection. Thanks for turning me on to that.

@Analoguexplosions

Hi - Thanks for the suggestion. I just copied the post over to the General Discussions Forum. Let's see if anyone has a handle on this problem.

Yes, the IRCAM sound library has some really nice, raw sounds, not often heard. I think it covers 16 instruments - really worth having if you like Boulez type stuff.

If you Google it there are some useful audio demos on their site.

By "on playback of the piece" do you mean the normal playback of MIDI through the plug-in, or playback of the rendered file (as the UVI guys seem to have understood this)?

If it's the latter, try setting the render dialog to "online render". If that still doesn't help, you can always "Save live output to disk (bounce)" in the File menu.

Hi Ollie, Thanks for that.

The problem is happening on normal playback through the plugin, not after rendering.
