That's actually not a bad default configuration for channel strips.
I always kind of wish that there was always an EQ on every track, but it's always an extra thing to load, too.
I've gone over in my mind whether I should save all templates with a reaQ, or not, but this might really make it worth it. Especially for quickly dialing in a high pass filter.
Is it possible to set up a menu entry or action to insert a specific template, when you choose "new track"?
I always use "insert template"-> the template I want.
If I could ctr+n or "insert new track" and have that be a track with reaQ mapped to knobs like that, I might be interested in getting that done bit by bit. I'd have to add that to all my instrument templates, but I could do that as I go.
I'm also not exactly sure what would be a good Q and stuff to leave everything at. I'd like to leave it so I only control the gain of 4 knobs. Or 3 gain and frequency for hi-pass. 2 bell in the middle somewhere, and a high pass.
Idk how useful any of that would be except for the hi-pass though, so maybe I would just do that.
I almost always want some hi-pass somewhere, so I'd love to have that on every strip. Even for bass, I would want to roll off down in the unhearable range.
