Default Behringer CMD Touch TC64

Good morning,

I recently accquired a behringer CMD Touch TC64, I am trying to get it working with Reaper, and Playtime but I seem to be having some issues.

First it talks to reaper just fine, I can play VSTs with it. but there is no response from any of the LEDs on this controller.

Playtime is the same, I can put this in Launchpad mode and I can tie it into Playtime just fine, but once again no response from the LEDs.

is there any way to "fix" this?

I have tested with Ableton and it does work as intended in there.

And yes i do realize it was built mainly for the Ableton workflow, but I like Reaper better and I was hoping to not have to split my time between two DAWs.

Thanks!

Default Partial Fix

It appears the Controller lights up based on midi signals and velocity. This is all good and well I can set up a spare track that receives midi from another track and outputs it to the CMD Touch TC64 and I get lights! I can't however seem to get playtime to route the midi properly to light up the controller.

I would like to take this a bit further and get the other functions working in reaper such as User1 User2 and Mixer, the latter being the most useful.

So I am still looking for input if any one has any!

Set Playtime to use "Launchpad" as controller

Go into Preferences and make sure CMD Touch is enabled for input AND output.

Whatever track Playtime is on, be sure to go into the I/O of that track... and set the Midi Hardware Output to CMD Touch (it will show up as long as you set the preferences correctly... enabling CMD Touch for input AND output). Then you click the "broom" icon in Playtime... you'll have visual feedback, then.

Good luck!
