Default FX mode in FX window - Needs a master overview!

This concerns when you have, or suspect, a wonky plugin, and use the FX window to set a number of individual plugins to "separate" or "dedicated" mode, and / or "buggy plugin compatibility." (Whatever that is.)

Let's say one has set a bunch of suspect plugins into one of these modes, then

A: later finds the problem and wants to put all the rest back to the "community" process.

or

B: Does NOT find the problem, and wants to put a few MORE plugins into separate / dedicated / or buggy mode, without having to check every single plugin as to how they are currently set.

Currently, the only way to know the current status of all your plugins is to rt-click EVERY SINGLE ONE individually. (Or keep a database, and hope you don't mess up.)

This is nuts.

There should a window that shows all plugins in a list, with the above choices shown to their right, all at once. Something like a grid display. This would be a MASSIVE time saver, and would also help you to not waste cpu cycles once a new plugin version comes out. (So you don't overlook some setting.)

You can highlight multiple plugs and right click and reassign them.

Sure, but that does help you see how things are set.

At all.

We need a "set plugin processes" page. Maybe it could be accessed completely from the prefs, instead o partly from the FX window. That alone would end same confusion.

Also, instead of calling it a "separate process," It might be called "THE separate group process," to distinguish it from what a dedicated process is & to emphasize that there's only one.

So, you would have one window in which you could:

A: Put all plugins into their own dedicated processes.
B: Put just SOME plugins into their own dedicated processes.
C: Put all plugins into the separate group process.
B: Put just SOME plugins the separate group process.

All from one window, and with all plugins & all settings visible at the same time.

Simple, fast, and non-confusing.

The project bay might be the right place to tackle this.

We've got a list view, sortable by plugin, and maybe add a column to display that shows what kind of process it is or they are.

-edit-
Reaper lets you double-click in the preset column field to set a preset for any instance or all. The same could be done for the process type.

Would that be sufficient to deal with the issues ?
