Default Reaktor VSTi crashes Reaper upon project load - what to do?

An instance (the project has only one!) of Reaktor 5.6 VSTi crashes Reaper (4.13) upon loading of a project. This project is important to me, so I'm very eager to get it working again. Any tips as to what I can do? I've already filed a crash report with NI FWIW.

Try opening the project in recovery mode...then perhaps substitute a previous version of Reaktor in place of Reaktor 5.6

with reaktor, sometimes if your instance of reaktor is trying to load an ensemble that it can't find, it will just hang up the entire DAW, and Reaper won't work.

Yeah, open reaper, and then in the file menu open up your project with the option to disable all plugins.

then you'll probably have to figure out where your reaktor ensemble is (the file path for it) on your computer.

The problem doesn't have to do with the ensemble not being found, it's right there in the browser pane when I open Reaktor. As a matter of fact, Reaktor crashed first as I was working on the project It crashed before when I was trying another granular ensemble come to think of it, seems it's a rather unstable beast... I'll do a RAM check later on methinks, to rule that out.
