Default trigger finger problem

this may not be a reaper specific question, but i was wondering if anyone of you have any idea on how to find out which notes your controller is sending?

i want to set up a sampler (reasamplomatic) with 16 drums sound, and trigger them from an m audio trigger finger (the old one), and i have tried uploading a preset where the notes should be from 36 - 51 ascending from left to right. when i upload the preset the notes are still not sending from 36 - 51 in reasamplomatic.

so i was wondering if someone has tried this or know an easy way to set up a trigger finger to play 16 drums?

The included plugin JS Midi Examiner will show you the notes.

Twenty-seven million years from now all that will be left on earth is a bunch of cockroaches and every cringe worthy statement you posted to the internet.

It's probably just off by an octave one direction or another. Reaper never seems to agree with any hardware or software that I try to use. There's a setting in there somewhere, but I can't remember where.

i kind of solved it by using the midi monitor to find out what the 16 notes were. and then i made a template. im not much smarter, but it worked..
