Another thought ... right clicking on a graphic, I found I could not Copy and paste ... that would be handy putting a GUI together.

Something else ... using a SLIDER, I needed a Horizontal one. I saw the check-box for that setting, but it didn't do anything I expected or was hoping ... what does it do ?

Just getting back to LBX, so I hope to learn more.
horiz checkbox means you move mouse side to side to alter control parameter, not up down.

Ah- horizontal only works on knob/slider controls (as in control type) at moment (well it should anyway) - will update so it works also with cycle controls.

Does it work for you on normal knob/slider controls?

Update adds horizontal control of cycle controls now (if horiz flag set for cycle control).

RJ,
I've not noticed any issues with graphics label being italic for a non italic font. Some fonts are default italic - are you sure it's not one of these. Could you please provide a screenshot showing the text label and the settings for the label.

Cheers,

I think I caused confusion ... I was thinking that a 'vertical' slider could transform into a horizontal one. [might be hitting KnobMan for this] :|

I'll double check the font thing.

Another question, if I may ... in the Cycle window is a setting for the number of steps. For one of my knobs, I wanted 1/4dB stepping ... this meant setting = 81. Another knob needed 100 steps [different max/min gains]. To set this, I had to mouse-click 81-100 times. It'd be much easier to have an Edit Box function to enter a value.

Thx for considering or even a better solution !

Tonite I built out a full Mastering EQ [using N-4], comprised of 9 Neb-4s instances.

I used it on a Live concert Mastering session. LBX provided a wonderful working experience tuning this project. This is my first, full out EQ with LBX. After several pre-attempts, building this one came together fairly quick.

I'm still a novice to many of the newer features that have been added ... one thing I'd like to know/explore:

1. Since EQ bands can be similar in controls [Freq, Q, Gain, etc] ... is there a way to build a single band, and then copy/paste additional bands that could then be assigned to a specific plugin? I know there would be some special customizing of settings [based on the preset], and some bands might have different controls available. I'm just looking to see if I'm overlooking some construction features. Curious.

Thanks again !!!

ctrl-click the States button in cycle control to enter value it's been possible for some time!!

Will look into the other things....

EDIT: technically you can also already do your other request. Create the eq band - highlight the controls in FX PARAM mode - then rigt-click Copy. Then right-click Paste to duplicate the controls. Then just click-and hold on the new Neb instance (top-left FX list) - until the replace FX box appears - then drag this box over the new controls to assign the new instance of N4 to the duplicated controls...

Ah nuts - just creating a licecap for you regarding this - and it's not quite working as I want like that - let me work on it...

In the meantime - you can create a single band - then SAVE STRIP - and drag this strip in for each additional band. This way loads N4 for you as well. Then all you need to do is alter the preset within N4 instance to the required band. That should be pretty quick - and the single band N4 strip can be used for all Neb eq bands in the future (you could save it as a favourite strip for quick adding too)...

free upload pictures

EDIT2:

This next licecap shows as before how to copy using strips - but using blank nebula instance (only got Neb3 on my dev laptop - but works same for any plugin). Also shows using duplicate function - then individually dragging controls from a new plugin and replacing the old ones (but the controls setup does not change - so you don't need to redo all this. Using this method allows you to quickly bring up bands from plugins that may have different controls (or Neb bands that have different param assignments) etc. It should be pretty quick when you get used to it.

The only thing you'd need to consider is if the duplicated/saved control is a cycle control - you would need to redo the cycle control setup for the new parameters if their ranges are different to the copied one.

Experimental update

Added REL (relative) button to macro controls. Hopefully this gets somewhere close to what a few have asked for. It's experimental at the moment as it's not completely finished - but it is working. I still need to disable controls that currently have no meaning in relative mode (slider A, and shape - not sure if it will be possible to add a transfer shape to relative mode at the moment - so it is fixed in linear).

Slider B is used to adjust the total distance the relative adjustments can travel. INV works to inverse the direction the adjustments are made. BI is not used in relative mode.

I will try to iron out any issues in the coming week.

Sorry I've not been completely on it the last few weeks, had a very busy time at work, alongside the sad death of my wonderful father-in-law, and my wife spending half the week very poorly in hospital (she's doing better now thankfully). So I've been somewhat preoccupied with other things.

After this week (including the funeral) - I'll be back on it properly I hope.

so sorry to hear that Leon, my best wishes for you and your family.
You will get through it, but don't hurry and take the time to process it properly. That's all I can say.

Thanks a lot for the update regarding macros. Will test soon. Much appreciated.

Best wishes, take care of yourself and your close ones. Everything else is secondary. Thanks for your hard work.

Question to everyone: how do you upload new knobs and faders to Stripper? Graphics work but I can't figure how to get knobs.

Thanks everyone for your support! Things are ok, just wanted to explain why I've been a bit less active over the past week or so.

saastara - Take a look in the controls folder - each knob graphics file requires a .knb file which is a text file containing a few simple parameters which need to be set up for the knob stack to be parsed correctly by Stripper.

Just open any .knb file in notepad or similar. To add a new control - I just copy any .knb file and edit it for the new control (it should have the same name as the graphic file except for the extension.

The parameters are - filename (name of knob image file), cellh = height in pixels of a single frame, frames = number of frames, control type = used to categorize the control into knobs/sliders, buttons, meters etc. You can set the control type within Stripper.

Hope this helps.

I discovered this over at Acustica's site and can't believe I'm just now finding out about it considering when this thread was started. Someone said "best script ever" and I wholly have to agree. Thank you! And best to you and your family.

Thanks everyone for your support and enthusiasm for the project!

And thanks as always Timbral... Have downloaded and will check out tonight.

I've also got somewhere towards making a strip file (as saved by the SAVE STRIP button) - truly portable - allowing it to be exported into a single file containing all the data, graphics, controls, knb files

Also got it importing ok in my quick tests - so it places controls/knb files in correct folder, and adds the strip file to the current strip folder...

Still lots of testing to do before release.

Also - got relative mode in macros to work with the transform functions. But I think I need to rewrite this a little - but getting there.

Cheers.
