Default Jump To Region #X

I have shortcuts dialed in to jump to project marker numbers but I just noticed that either I'm missing something or there is no way to program shortcuts to jump to the start of any of the regions.

Is this true?

Default Jump To Region

I may be misunderstanding your question, but I believe what you are looking for is hitting the number on your keyboard that responds to the number on that marker. For example, if you set a marker using ctrl+1, simply hit '1' on your keyboard to go to that marker.

I have this setup already for markers, it works well. I'm trying to jump to the start of various regions that I have set up.

I must have overwritten the original CMD-J shortcut because now, it points to an SWS action to analyze and display item peak RMS.

Searching jump to function in the actions doesn't show anything.

Is there a way I can program an action similar to jumping to the markers such as CMD+OPTION+4 jumps to the start of region 4?

Posted this thingy.

There is a script function:
GoToRegion(ReaProject proj, int region_index, bool use_timeline_order)

I could easily make a script you could duplicate and edit if you want individual actions.

Take "function" out.

Thanks, I'll test this tomorrow when I can be in front of an actual session to test.

Ideally, I'd love to program a shortcut such as SHIFT+OPTION & NUM KEYPAD 1 to jump to region 1 and repeat up to 9.

Then maybe SHIFT +OPTION+CMD & NUM KEYPAD 1 to jump to region 11 and basically find a way to get up to region 30 or so using that method.

I'm already using some similar commands to jump to the different marker numbers so I have to dance around those key commands so they don't overwrite one another.

I use a macro with 2 actions, "select next or previous region" and then "go to start of time selection".

Oh, you want to go to numbered regions.

There's "SWS/S&M: Go to/select region xx (obeys smooth seek)".

I've got mine set up for 40 of them but you can have as many as you want. However, you do have to specify the number of regions in the "S&M" ini file.

Just open the S&M.ini file and find "S&M_GOTO_SEL_REGION=xx". Then type in the number of regions you want (xx) and save the file.

Then open Reaper and you should see them in the action list.

The significant difference is that they actually select the Region and go to the front.

This is a reasonable solution. I didn't notice it right away because I was expecting and searching for jump to region just as you can jump to markers.

Thanks.
