1st new song in months Feat Morgan on lead
But I didn't completely write it. A guy that goes by Neumuzik wrote the original music, BUT it was all midi. I hate all midi--particularly guitars, but I loved the groove to the song. So I asked him if I could re-do the song with real guitars and bass, and also write some lyrics and a melody.
He liked the idea, so I dusted off Amplitube and just started adding guitar parts. I suck at lead, so I asked Morgon if he could take care of that and he came through for me just nicely. Esp that ending which i love.
I play all the scattered around rhythm guitars and bass. Drums AD.
Updated with vox up 2 db.

RG? Right guitar? if so, it doesn't drop out, I stop playing.
...or it could be because I cut some of my guitars completely in this version that you may have gotten used to hearing in the earlier raw version I sent you.

Yup, it was meant to have that night out at the local pub feel.
Morgon's having one of those "I could have done better" moments we all get from time to time once something is "released."

Great as Always. One thing that I realized on my latest song, that I think applies to you to,is that you (as me) are too laid back in your singing. You sing very good, but try to put more power when singing.
This is of only my humble opinion (including three beers
Thank god it's friday!!!

Msundh, THAT's a first!!! (you should have seen my eyes bulge!)
I always thought I was laid back only when I did it on purpose, like in mellower tunes. Otherwise, i thought I was rather aggressive. I guess in a way that's good to hear. Thanks guy!

Listen a second in my headphone instead of my monitors.
The lead vox is way too low.
Still want more power in your singing, sorry.

It's a jammy, club-y tune.

Sweet collab, guys! Crunchy grooves and searing licks.
Cool character to the mix, Sammy. You really nailed that "recorded in a club" kind of feel here.

just a little fun ditty to throw together Wolff. I already knew I wanted a Reaper musician to join in, mainly because some of my better songs usually have somebody from the forums playing on them: Carbon, Stratman, Ted Wood, Kindafishy, and the list goes on.
Morgon offered his 'services' a few months back, so the choice was obvious for this one.

Jorge Louis Borges, from Buenos Aires, Argentina... need I say more? Most known for his short stories, many of them working with what some may call magic realism. He himself may have used a word like fantastic, and rightly so. Fantastic, however, does not carry the same meaning/connotations today in Swedish, and, I believe, nor in English... but what do I know? You mostly see pics of Borges as old and blind, so this portrait I found rather special.

I've heard of him and seen his works, but always passed. Being both a writer and an avid reader, I'll have to check him out more after what you said.
You mean 'fantastic' in the literal sense, right? As opposed to the "great or wow" sense where it's mostly used today (sort of the same as the original and new meanings of 'fabulous').

Yeah, spot on, the same phenomena over here... and fantasy is, well, goblins and dragons. I love urban fantasy, though... Hellblazer, Lucifer... stuff like that. I red an interview with Umberto Eco just the other day... he's an avid comic reader. I'm not surprised.

I write fantasy, but I usually try to find a different description (specifically because one thinks of goblins, dragons, political elves, etc), but none of that is in my fiction. Old and cliched. So I usually choose "speculative." But it's closer to surrealism or psyched out urban fantasy.
...and don't get me started on H. Potter! God how i hate it. Or more to the fact, how Rowling influenced so many copy cats to middle grade or young adult fantasy. It's like everybody's afraid of adult spec fiction these days.
@m5
thx

interesting! i can't believe nobody's made a Hendrix comparison on the guitar sound, especially in the beginning. maybe not a 100% match up but definitely some overtone's. haven't heard that around these here parts...

Gaiman - The Book Of Magic - is what I believe influenced Rowling. I've enjoyed Potter from time to time - especially one of the films, can't remember the name, but it involved some cool time travelling, I'm a sucker for time travelling...
I'd love to read some of your stuff anytime.

Appreciate that Mark. I was surprised to hear Morgan's trk once he sent it to me. Never heard him play like that. I knew he had style, which is why I asked him in the first place, but he can rock out too!
I'm only so eclectic because I bore easily.

Sounds like a tune that should end with a major bar brawl to me. Must be that old Clint Eastwood movie I've seen the other day. Lead guitar is FIERY plus its tone is totes ear caressing.

Cool song. Nice vocal-drive.
Need some arrangment-things regarding guitar-solo and bass/drums (now it's like you've hit play in AD.)
