Tcp height fixing
Hello all.
I've done some searching on this forum, and had a fairly in depth read of White Tie's excellent themer's guide, but I have a feeling I'm not looking for the right phrase when I'm scanning for answers.
What I'd like to be able to do is modify a theme which uses separators, to have the separators stay a fixed size when altering the vertical zoom on all tcp's. I find it distracting that the separators resize too.
I guess I have 2 questions:
1) Is this even possible? I am beginning to wonder if track resizing is tied to reaper itself and is not connected to Walter. I know you can use walter to scale things with track resizing, but is it possible to lock tcp heights with it?
2) How would I achieve this?

Hmmm, this is sort of okay. The only problem with it is it's inability to affect selected tracks when resizing. It just resizes all tracks.
Furthermore, the built in track height adjustment actions ignore these scripts.
EDIT: Read a bit further into the thread, discovered how to create a script to do exactly what I needed. Thanks for the pointer!

i too am interested in this, can you share how you achieved it? it seems logical that separators are fixed height, and strange that the only way to achieve it is using a script?
on this note, whats your workflow for adding separators? currently i add a new track, then right click it and go to the Layout menu and select separator for the TCP, and then do it again for the MCP.
this seems tedious, ideally there should be a way to just right click > insert separator (or use a shortcut).

I'm not sure if it's SWS or just Reaper, but you can use the Resources window to have a few track templates queued up - you can either drag them over from the window, or map a key/toolbar button to the action for "Insert track template from slot 01".

If you follow the link in the first post of that thread, you can dowload a zip file with different 'flavors' of these actions. selected / all, etc. - in case you missed it.
