No, ReaSamplomatic isn't the best choice for attempting that. (It doesn't properly support multiple samples, it becomes a total mess with multiple ReaSamplomatic instances etc...)

You need a sampler instrument that is able to do that. I can't say right now what would be a good free or cheap one to do that though...

You can absolutely use Sampl0matic to do this. You will need multiple instances of it, and you will quickly realise that it's a cumbersome way to work.

It might be worth doing anyway, to acquaint yourself with the software and the principles involved.

Set note start and note end in each instance of RS5k.
Note start is the second option beneath Volume, and Note end is right under that.

ok i think i managed to do this

it just needs lots of instances of sampl0matic, selecting the area on each, and setting up note start/ note end

another question though, when i hit a midi note to start the sound, when i hit the midi note again, the previous one does not cut itself...it instead keeps running along with the other one......can someone tell me how to fix this?

There's a little checkbox close to the bottom that say's something to the affect, "Obey note offs". I don't remember the exact wording bit it's something like that.

hey tod that button just keeps the sound going for as long the note is held down...when u lift the key up it goes away, its a bit different from what i was looking for

i want to press the key, and then when i press it again to stop the previous sound and play only the new one

now that i think this again, if i program this with midi notes it should be ok.. but anyway if there's a cut itself button (like in fl studio) do let me know

Aah, okay samsome123, I think you're talking about a choke type affect.

There are a few JS plugins for getting the Choke effect but I've never been able to get them to work properly all the time. Like you mentioned, I just use the note length to achieve the same thing.

Of course it's difficult to play things properly in real time but I always end up editing everything anyway so it's no big deal for me.

Wish I had something more to tell you.

You could just save yourself a LOT of time and get tx16wx.

www.tx16wx.com

Even the free version does all of this and a LOT more in one go.

One click slicing of a beat. One click assigning to chromatic MIDI notes....
