Default Routing question.

Dear Reapers,

Took me along time but i finally beginning to understand Reaper's audio routing principles, regarding Tracks and Track Channels.

One thing though still confuses me and i hope someone can please explain why this works the way it works.

- Let's say i route a stereo Track A to another stereo Track B, by dragging route icon Track A onto Track B.
- Routing window pops up, but i don't change settings in this.
So Track A output Channels 1/2 are by default routed to Track B input channels 1/2.

Now i go in play and Track A's signal is "bleeded" through Track B output channels 1/2.
So Track B outputs a "mixture of it's own signal plus Track A's signal.

But i am wondering: why is this exactly ?
Does it mean that a Tracks input channels x/y are always directly outputted by it's output channels x/y ?
Thats the only conclusion i can come up with.
If true,I wonder furthermore whats exactly the purpose behind this behaviour.

I hope some Reaper Routing Guru can come to the rescue !
Warm Regards.

Dragging routing from one track to another does not make decisions for you. Typically you would disable the parent send on Track A if you are sending it to Track B so that you did not end up with the same audio in both in the Master.
