Default MIDI overdub + auto-punch time selection issue (FIXED)

See this project:
overdub-autopunch-timeselection.rpp (3.6kB)

-> load it
-> record

=> A new MIDI item gets created (although Reaper is overdubbing fine into the existing item):

It only happens if you have the edit cursor placed in front of the time selection. If you start recording right on 5.1.00, Reaper doesn't create this useless item.

"Auto-punch selected items" mode is fine too!

FIXED (3.15)

Just tested your overdub-timeselection-autopunch.rpp project above on REAPER v3.15 (just released), and I encounter similar problems, but I cannot reproduce the exact problem you describe. However, I cannot reproduce this bug on a brand-new project created on REAPER v3.15 so perhaps that file is corrupted or was corrupted by the earlier version of REAPER on which it was created?

You're right. The issue seems to be fixed. No additional item getting added anymore.
