I just installed 2.3 last night, thinking I was quick off the mark. Shall I install 2.301 now, or shall I wait until tomorrow for 2.302, hehe .
Actually I will try 2.3 out first now it is installed as it would help when reporting performance improvements, or any possible problems.

I love the bezier curves, really nice. Many thanks for that!
Without wishing to sound ungrateful... will they ever have editing 'handles' added in the future? That would be *extra* wonderful!
:-)

Alright!!!
Tap tempo now uses whole numbers instead of 3-point decimals, way better imo. Excellent update!
Thanks Justin!

What it says .
It means the ReaInsert VST effect now works better, that is more efficient in regard to its performance (presumably the cpu consumption) and it also works WITH 'Anticipated FX rendering' being enabled.

the download tells me 2.3, still?
has it been taken offline again?
maybe cause of any major issues, as described above?

just curious....why is this much better exactly?
if i use tap tempo i want it to go to the bpm i am tapping out, not rounding the bpm up/down. especially since BPM still has to be manually typed in instead of controllable with dragging the mouse....!
and i'm not saying that this rounding up/down is a major thing, but i'm just trying to understand where this would be a positive. i'm sure it is in some cases, i just can't think of any....

That is one of the things I expected though with beziers and what makes them more editable.

How do you "tap tempo"?
(Looked for it in the doku, didn't find anything.)

Mouse-click your tempo on the letters " BPM" in the transport bar.

Well, I think it's a good idea. Try to tap out quarter notes at 120 and watch the value fluctuate by a couple of bpms. I have a good sense of time, and it's difficult to hit the beat that accurately, especially when clicking a mouse.
I am probably to late now, but to me it would even make sense to have an option to average the bpm count over a user specified interval, e.g. to average it over say 8 beats.
If the original is recorded to a click that would give you an accurate count, and if not then it's only indicative in any case...

Also, I don't see an option to choose which behavior I prefer; I'd rather have the precision, not what the computer thinks I want.
