I also play at another turn-based site, littlegolem, which is mostly for main PC browser use, but you can also access it via Blazer. But I find it such a pain to do so, each move requires at least three laborious screen refreshes, just not worth it in the end. I dont know if SSrjazz's plan would get around this sort of hassle?
Even more recently I have also started playing Texas Holdem on the standalone Palm app, Real Dice World. RDW offers a multitude of games, and is an extraordinary user experience, partly because it runs on many platforms, and has a huge user base that always ensures a good game 24hrs a day. Definitely worth a look, you can get a week's free access. Dangerously addictive though - I think thats why I prefer the mellower pace of turn-based games. A constant feed of adrenaline is not a good thing!
Anyway since Real Dice is not turn-based, Basu's plans for a multi-platform standalone game server still represent an as-yet unavailable solution.
